Return Policies
As a matter of common practice, retailers generally allow customers to return
items within a reasonable time for refund or store credit. If a retailer has
return policies that are not "common practice" as defined by statute,
they are required to conspicuously post their return policies to inform consumers.
Exceptions to returnable items include:
Food and perishable goods
Goods marked "as is," no returns excepted," "all
sales final," or with similar language.
Customized goods received as ordered
Goods not returned in their original packaging
Goods which cannot be resold due to health considerations
