Consult with a Private Attorney

When you retain a private attorney, he or she would be able to provide advice most helpful to you and represent your interests directly. Lawyer referral services are available through your county bar association or through the lawyer referral services of the State Bar of California at (415) 561-8398.

If you cannot afford a private attorney, assistance may be available through a local Legal Aid Society.
