Fingerprint Submissions
The California Department of Justice maintains an automated process for checking the background of individuals using fingerprint submissions. These background checks may be required by certain agencies as a condition of employment or identity confirmation. Electronic fingerprinting - known also as Applicant Live Scan - helps to speed this review process.
You can be fingerprinted electronically at an official Live Scan site, such as a local Police Department or county Sheriff's Office.
You can view a listing of locations at http://ag.ca.gov/fingerprints/publications/contact.pdf
