Zyach (Gyach-Text)

The above has already been compiled for you. Just download the
tarball into your ~ (/home) directory and then simply execute the
following commands within your choice of Zaurus Terminals:

	  * tar -zxvf /path/to/gyach-zaurus*.tar.gz
	  * cd /path/to/gyach-zaurus*
	  * ./gyach-text -u pinochio -p PASSWORD

Change Yahoo ID: pinochio to your own ID and you should be chatting
in no time!

From then on you only need to do the following to chat:

     cd /path/to/gyach-zaurus*
     ./gyach-text -u pinochio -p PASSWORD

Zyach does NOT have a front end (ATM), so you must use a terminal of
your choice (included within this directory). This is more of a
developers way of "wasting time," so a front-end has not been created
due to the terminal being just fine for now ;)

The cool part about being within a shell is you can use all the
commands available within your shell inside a yahoo! chat room. What
more could you ask for? You can have commands show locally or
globally (ala IRC).

Here are some basic instructions on how to do things in Zyach:

!uname -a

       Would show everyone inside the current chatroom your uname -a
       information. You can substitute 'uname -a' with ANY COMMAND
       AVAILABLE TO YOU ON THE COMMAND LINE!

!!uname -a

       Would only show YOU personally the output of the above
       command. The same as the above command, but the output is for
       your eyes only.

/ver

       The above command shows the Zyach version # and the uptime for
       the chatclient. Great to let everyone know you're chatting on
       a Z. Haha, take that Pocket PC! This command will output into
       chat, making you a popular cat through yahoo! chat services.

/goto pinochio

      The above command would have you go directly to any chatroom
      the username pinochio would be residing in. Fun command when
      you want to see where someone is hehe.

/think pinochio is a dork!

       The above command would have the following effect within the
       chatroom:
       		 * louiscandell: . o O ( pinochio is a dork! )
       The would be output if the username louiscandell would have
       been the one to issue the above command.

/tell pinochio hey your profiles kinda cute, wanna chat?

      The above command would Private Message (PM) the username
      pinochio with the message that is to follow.

/join myownprivateroom:1

      The above command would let you join any room you want. Simply
      substitute myownprivateroom:1 to the room of your choice and
      there you have it :). Since your PM's and chatroom dialogue
      will both go into the same window, my suggestion to you is to
      create a private room (ex. /join myusernameprivateroom) and let
      your username sit there in case someone sends you pms when
      youre away. This way, your pm's will never be lost and you can
      always come back and find what people have said to you, without
      chat dialogue pushing it out of the buffer zone.

/quit

      The above command executes... you guess it... quitting your
      current chat session.

/follow pinochio

     Will allow you to follow the above user through yahoo! chatrooms
     as it ventures from room to room. The user must be in a chatroom
     with you for the above command to work properly. Do not confuse
     the /follow command with the /goto command.

/invite pinochio

     Would invite the username pinochio to the room you are currently
     residing in.

/help

     Figure it out :p

The above should get you up and running within a matter of
minutes. The client is a bit rough, but it works like a champ and
seems to be the first Yahoo! chat client ported to any pocket PDA, so
have a blast showing those Wind0wZ Pocket PC looserZ's who's champ
chatting away while drinking your geigh mocha cappuchino @ st@rBuKs.

Enjoy,
