MODUS OPERANDI SUMMARY

Two cases, one involving an indecent exposure and the other a child annoyance occurred in Santa Monica by an unknown suspect.

1. Indecent Exposure: On Tuesday, March 27, 2001, the suspect followed the victim into a restroom. While standing directly in front of the victim's stall, he began to masturbate.

2. Child Annoyance: On Sunday, April 8, 2001, the suspect befriended the victim, offered him a ride home and engaged the victim in a conversation about having sex. When they arrived at the victim's home the suspect asked the victim if his parents were home. After the victim responded "yes", the suspect told him, "Don't tell them about our conversation - you know how parents can be." The suspect stated "It was really nice meeting you" and drove away. The victim went inside his apartment and notified his parents.
