Adult Male, Hispanic 20-30 years old, thin build, dark hair, mustache.

Location:

Victim was abducted from the street in front of her home in McFarland CA. (Kern County)

Weapon:

Hands, brown handled buck knife with a silver blade.

Vehicle:

Red small or mid-sized car with brown cloth interior. Gear shift on the column.


SUMMARY OF CRIME

Kern County Sheriff's Department is requesting assistance in identifying a suspect or other similar crimes which may be related to the abduction, sexual assault and attempted murder of an eight year old female which occurred on February 20, 2000.

The unknown suspect abducted an eight year old female from the street in front of her home in McFarland, California. She was driven to a rural area east of Delano and sexually assaulted. After the assault, the suspect drove to the Friant/Kern Canal where he bound the victim's hands and feet and threw her in to the canal. The victim managed to free herself and get out of the canal. She ran to a nearby business where she was found by a worker. Law enforcement officials believe this crime may be related to the attempted abduction of a fourteen year old female on February 2, 2000 in Earlimart, CA., located near the Highway 99 corridor.
