Clothing: Light gray hooded sweatshirt or jacket, with "EAGLES" on the chest area; dark shirt; baggy black pants
Weapon: Possible knife
Vehicle: Unknown
Outstanding features: The suspect tells his victims "I have a knife" and "I will kill you."

SUMMARY OF CRIME

On Wednesday, January 10, 2001, a sexual assault and an attempted sexual assault occurred between 6:00 PM and 6:40 PM. In each case, the victims were assaulted by an unknown suspect.
  1. Sexual Assault: The first incident was a sexual assault which occurred in the women's restroom at Schoenberg Hall. The suspect walked up to the victim as she was talking to fellow students in the hallway and asked for directions to the restroom. Approximately ten minutes later, the victim entered the restroom, was grabbed from behind by the suspect and forced to the back of the restroom. The suspect released the victim, but stood between her and the exit door. The suspect stated he had a knife and told the victim to remove her clothes. He ordered the victim to lie on the floor and spread her legs. The suspect licked the victim's rectal and vaginal area before the victim screamed. The suspect ran out of the restroom in an unknown direction.

  2. Attempted Sexual Assault: The second incident was an attempted sexual assault which occurred in the women's restroom at Boelter Hall. The suspect entered the women's restroom and told her he would kill her if she did not lie down and comply with his demands. The victim convinced the suspect to leave. He left the restroom in a southbound direction.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The University of California Police Department, Los Angeles is requesting assistance in identifying a suspect in connection with a sexual assault and an attempted sexual assault that occurred on campus in the women's restroom of Schoenberg Hall and Boelter Hall.
