to play keyboards so quickly having not played in your life?

roger_odonnell He didn't he was rubbish!

roger_odonnell LA and Chicago and Toronto in Canada

roger_odonnell They have the best clubs!

roger_odonnell Chicago has the best nightlife

roger_odonnell not really.

roger_odonnell no I'm a consumate professional

roger_odonnell oh i did have one

roger_odonnell one song called all cats grey and they repeated 4 rounds and one the last one, I played the wrong
note and Robert came around and played the right one

roger_odonnell Yes and YES

roger_odonnell he is very demanding but rewarding to work with

roger_odonnell and everybody's individual creativity takes second place for the benefit of the group.

Question From BigBloodster : Roger,back in june when The Cure played in Dallas,there was this great music that
was playing about 30 min before you all came on stage. you playing the keyboard. Whatever it was I really enjoyed
it and it set the mood for the whole show perfectly.

roger_odonnell I wasn't

roger_odonnell There were 3 different albums that we played b4 the show

roger_odonnell One of the album could be mine which was jazz instrumental

roger_odonnell the other one was a tango CD

roger_odonnell can't remember the other one

roger_odonnell just before we played, we Samuel Barber Adigio for Strings

roger_odonnell So it could be one of those.

roger_odonnell No

Question From ML68 : do u find the adulation of fans disturbing or normal?

roger_odonnell part of the job. I personally talk to the fans. Fans is a demeaning word. There should be a better
word. I like meeting ppl and hearing what they like.

roger_odonnell i'd like to do production and management and GOD help them

roger_odonnell if I was their manager

roger_odonnell I've done one solo album - i might do another one

roger_odonnell The cure and simon, robert, perry and jason. My fav band in the world is Smashing Pumpkins.

roger_odonnell it is difficult to get the limosine and helicopter pad on the roof.

roger_odonnell we would have to play 5 nights instead

roger_odonnell the sound can be awful.

roger_odonnell we did do one in NOV 98.

roger_odonnell in the US. The comp get winners from America and they didn't know who was going to come onstage

roger_odonnell I do the day to day maintenance of it and Robert and I do the site between us

roger_odonnell It's sad as I have a huge collection of vinyl up to 1984

roger_odonnell The album covers are so much better but the sound quality is so much better

roger_odonnell I grew up in Forest Gate and there was a pub there which was half a mile from my home and he
wrote Purple Haze in the dressing room of that pub

roger_odonnell I love italians fans and congrats to ferrari for becoming world champions

incredibly irritated with the VJ...why??

roger_odonnell In 1996. It was probably before midday when we played but I'm sure he was a very nice chap

roger_odonnell the worst time was rastitekil (sp?) in Denmark and 8 ppl were killed. It was before we went on.

roger_odonnell It was terrible

roger_odonnell Love/hate relationship with NYC

roger_odonnell Toured with PF - it was around the time that Midnight to Midnight came out

roger_odonnell wouldn't it?? i'd marry her in a flash.

roger_odonnell I spent alot of time in Iceland for the last 3 years and I love her music. She's a genious and is
gorgeous

Question From wazit : What happens backstage prior to a concert - do you all have quiet time or get pumped up
together?

roger_odonnell we pretty much keep to ourselves- do our own thing

roger_odonnell we spend hours doing our hair and makeup.

roger_odonnell we dress and do what we like

roger_odonnell it's a band of individuals but it's nice to see a part on cohesiveness

roger_odonnell the ritual of putting on makeup is fun

Question From BIRDMADGURL : Why do bands such as The Cure, always tend to produce such amazing b-sides
but never play them?

roger_odonnell We have too many A sides. We also have so many albums. We play for 3 hours on stage and we still
only cover a small percentage of them

roger_odonnell I would love to have a dog and a cat

roger_odonnell on the whole I am fond of small furry things

roger_odonnell 50/50 chance to meet me or perry, 10% chance to meet Simon, 5% chance to meet Robert

roger_odonnell I read quite alot of them.

roger_odonnell some of them are really good and interesting

roger_odonnell i enjoyed them

roger_odonnell There was a bunch of rumours about how we couldn't get on etc - that was annoying. it wasn't true
but we ha a good laugh over that one

than being a musician?

roger_odonnell Are they mutually exclusive?

roger_odonnell I'm very flattered to be part of the Cure

roger_odonnell Very excellent band to be part of. I am proud of all the bands I have been part of.

roger_odonnell no - way too miserable

roger_odonnell yes I have an excellent digital studio setup

roger_odonnell digital former on a mac

roger_odonnell all of my vintage keyboards in there

roger_odonnell and it's called the blue room cos it's blue

roger_odonnell it's got pictures of frank zappa, jimmy hendrix pictures all over

roger_odonnell and my gold and silver albums..very inspring.
