Show was 2 hours and 45 minutes
My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to
see the best band in the world a day before our anniversary! It's
funny,
because going into the show, she knew very
little about The Cure. The only songs she knew were "Mint Car" and
"Boys Don't Cry" because I put them on a
tape I made for her! Seeing the boys play such treasures as "Shake
Dog Shake" and "Plainsong" reallyaffected
her. We were right center, 20 rows back, and perfect eye-level with
Robert, my all-time hero and idol. I
had a sign which said "PLEASE PLAY BOYS DON'T CRY!" on one side and
"WWW.CHAINOFFLOWERS" on the other:)
I just HAD to promote my favorite site!!!:) Anyway, here is
my
run-down:
OOTW: Beautiful as an opener.....I never wanted it to end....
Watching Me Fall: Extraordinarily intense!!! So much better than the album. Those 12 minutes went by quite fast.
Want: I first started listening to The Cure
in 1996, and got Wild Mood Swings the day it came out. This is my
favorite song off the album, and beautifully
heart-wrenching live. Tears were in my eyes at the end.
Fascination Street: What can I say? This song is just great live!
Last Day Of Summer: A nice place in the set
for it, slowing down the pace after a dance song. Very pretty lyrics
by Robert, and Perry's guitar shines on this
song.
Pictures Of You: THIS one got the crowd to
stand! People were happy to hear a song they knew:) Nicely
done,
especially the synth effects by Roger.
Where The Birds Always Sing: So moving, it
made me start to cry again. The finality of this possibly being my
first last and only Cure show hit hard at
the end.
Shake Dog Shake: HAHAHAHA!!!!! I was
praying they would play this!!! The acid-drop background was
fantastic, and I must have been jumping ten
feet in the air!!! It amused me to see people MOSHING at a Cure
show:) If I never see them again, this
will stand out as a truly intense highlight.
Maybe Someday: I love this song. Robert seemed very into the singing, twisting the lyrics a little bit.
Snakepit: WOW! I hadn't expected this,
and truthfully was hoping for "The Kiss" instead, but I did enjoy Robert
on the recorder. It was so loud it made
me ears bleed!
FTEOTDGS: No words......this song is immaculate live. Again, my tears kicked in at the end.
Inbetween Days: Casual Cure fans rejoice!!!
Another cheesy pop single!!!:) Actually, I love this song, and seeing
it live was a real treat. The whole
band seemed in a grwat mood tonight, so this song was extra bright and
happy.
If Only Tonight We Could Sleep: My girlfriend and I held hands and danced slowly...so hypnotic and beautiful.
Prayers For Rain: This song live is so incredibly
powerful, and Robert, of course, held the
"RAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN" for an unbearably
long time!!! I sang along to every song, and holding the
note with him for that long was quite a challenge:)
100 Years: YESSSS!!! "Pornography" is
my favorite album of all time, and hearing my favorite song off of it live
gave me HUGE goosebumps!!! The thought
of me hearing it live had excited me for months!!! It lived up to
every expectation, so powerful and intense!!!
39: GREAT build-up for......
Bloodflowers: My favorite song off of the new
album. I was in tears at the end, holding the Bloodflower necklace
I bought.
There Is No If: My girlfriend knew the words
somehow, and sang it along with me!!! It was a beautiful moment
when we held each other and sang as we looked
at Robert.
Trust: Ahhh!!! Thanks to your site, I
knew that it followed TINI, and I once again held my girlfriend in a perfect
little place in time.
Plainsong: HUGE goosebumps when the synth kicked
in!!! Robert walking at the edge of the stage like a giddy
little schoolboy and hugging people:)
It was adorable:)
Disintegration: What a moment. I might
never sing that loud again in my whole life. Hearing it live was
a nice bit
of closure if they never tour again.
Figurehead: MORE Pornography songs!!! Pinch me, I'm dreaming!!!
Pornography: Loved the blood red lights, powerful
guitars, somber drums and Robert wrenching the words from
his soul.
Boys Don't Cry: MY FAVORITE SONG AND THEY PLAY
IT LIVE!!!! Robert smiled at me as I held up my
sign and said "Good things come to those who
wait"!!!!! I was in heaven, my girfriend and I dancing and singing
so loudly. It may be a cheesy pop song,
but it's MY cheesy pop song, darn it!!!:)
10:15 Saturday Night: Sounds great as a five piece song!!! It goes beyond their early punk minimalism.
Killing An Arab: SO amazingly fast and hard!!!
The lights were great, as they used the original white and blue
light-scheme they used in the 70's for the
song!!! If anyone asks why I still call The Cure a punk band, I just
smile......:)
Well, that's it. THE best concert I will
ever see, and i converted my girlfriend into a Cure-freak like me!!!
All in
all it was probably the best experience of
my life, sharing my favorite band with the one I love. What do you
say
on a night like this???:) Nadine and
Craig, thank you for your wonderful site, and all the information about
the
Dream Tour. I cannot thank you enough.
It is wonderful sharing the thing I love most with others who are
like-minded. I hope all of your Dream
Tour wishes came true, and that goes for all you wonderful, beautiful
Cure
fanatics out there as well!!! Now, back
to real lives....
Although The Cure has defined the last 15
years of my adult life, this was their first concert I have seen. At 34
years of age & painfully aware of my own
mortality, I understand when Robert said it is time to move on in his
life. The first time I heard "Someday" I knew
that this would be the last time The Cure would tour. It was in the
words of that song. Shortly after, I read
an article posted in this web site stating just that. Sad, yet inevitable-for
all
of us really.
Therfore, the concert was filled with mixed
emotions for me,as I am sure it was for Robert. At 6 feet tall, I am often
told I have a fantastic, fit body. I was dressed
in black latex pants, I sexy red latex top & my long blonde hair
pulled up high into a ponytail. My husband
said I looked amazingly beautifull. Strangely enough, I felt old &
a little
tired. As I listened to Inbetween Days, I
flashed back to my carefree, wild college years. When he played songs
from Disintegration (my favorite CD), I remember
my studio apartment, a certain man & the great years I had in
graduate school. When he played music from
Wish-I remenbered that I named my daughter Elise from the song
"A Letter to Elise." And here I am now-in
my mid-thirties, happily married & a mother of five. I'm not quite
sure
I am ready to give up my latex pants or The
Cure, how their music has made me feel & the memories attached
to the songs. I loved dancing wickedly to
"Just Like Heaven" & "Hot, Hot, Hot!"
As Robert walked off the stage Saturday night,
I realized again that not everything or anyone lives on forever.
Mortality had slapped me in the face yet again,
by the harsh reality that we don't live in a place where the birds
always sing.
Thank you Robert Smith for words & music
that has helped shape my life.
I just wanted to make a quick comment about
being at the wonderful and brilliant Detroit show. And I also
sympathize with you about that traffice near
Sashabaw road...3/4 of a mile took us at least 45 minutes since
everyone thought merge ment everyone but them.
But anyways...I was in the left section near roger in about the
20th row, not bad seats at all even though
everyone I came with sat on the lawn. But I was sitting near some great
and nice Cure fans. I walked around for a
little while before the show to just meet some Cure fans and such and
walking through the crowd all I could hear
from people was "oh my god, she has chewbacca on her back" yes,
I was the one with the chewbacca wookie backpack
that everyone had to touch and make bad impressions
at...wearing a dragon dress and a wookie...what
is the world coming to ;) But I went back to my seat waiting with
such anticipation and kept catching glimpses
of jason. Then they all came out, the crowd being very receptive and
the band seeming very happy especially Roger...something
about that smile of his that just makes you want to
smile.
The set list was amazing and was so glad that
I was there...every song being more and more emotional for
me..especially Disntergration which almost
made me break down. The whole night was like a dream that I didn't
want to wake from. It was a night I'll treasure
always. Robert and the rest of the band never sounded better giving
it there all and having a good time. I love
the recorder and the tambourine and want to know if I can play the
kazoo sometime for them...j/k ;) And the last
tap of the tambourine on Roger's head was classic and made me
spark a little fun smile. And now I have to
send the guys this picture that I did....wanted to take it with me but
figured I wouldn't have been ablt to get through
security to give it to them...it's my insight of putting them all into
anime style characters. The people I know
are still talking about the Detroit show..it was amazing. I can still hear
the music swarming and spinning around me.
It is a shame for anyone who missed the show..it was breath taking
during a perfect night. So, thank you to Rober,
Roger, Jason, Perry, and Simon for one of the greatest
performances that I've ever witnessed and
for the music that has impacted so many people's lives. And to The
Chain of Flowers site, keep up the excellent
work :)
I finally got a chance to write about the show
in Detroit. I have to start out by saying that this was the best
concert
I have attended in my life! Believing
this to be the final Cure Tour, I bought tickets for my entire family including
my parents. I am still getting thank
you's from everyone in my family for buying them tickets, 3 days after
the
show! One thing I notice at Cure
shows in Detroit is the variety of people and the range in ages of the
fans.
Everyone from the young teenager, to the middle-aged
businessman are there singing songs and cheering fanatacly
for each song the Cure play. Detroit
has always held a special place for the Cure from the early shows at The
Cobo Center to the taping of Show at the Palace
of Auburn Hills on The Wish Tour. And Saturday night at Pine
Knob ampitheater, The Cure gave Detroit a
spectacular parting gift..
Most of the songs were reviewed by others but
I wanted to mention just a few of the songs that particularly stood
out last Saturday. Out of this World
started at 8:15pm to a sold out Pine Knob and the crowd gave an enthusiastic
welcome cheer after the song. Watching
Me Fall impressed me the most out of all the new material played.
It
sounds 100 times better live and especially
when Robert screams "Yeah!" as its as if a huge wall of sound hits you
and you just listen in awe... Want was next
and was brilliant with Simon's pounding bass and Roger's moody
keyboard parts but still paled in comparison
to Watching Me Fall's might. The Snakepit, Prayers for Rain, 100
years, 39, and Bloodflowers were so powerful
and played to perfection. My parents at this point were in complete
shock as to what they were witnessing, which
was a true test to me how great of a band The Cure is Live.
During 39 it looked like Perry's guitar was
not working properly as he was feverishly trying to work on his effect
pedals as the Roberts began singing.
It sounded a little strange at first as all you could hear was Simon's
powerful
bass and the drums but as the song progressed,
Perry's guitar was working just fine! Bloodflowers ended the main
set and the crowd of 20,000 went absolutely
crazy as they walked off stage.
The first encore started off with a pretty
cool version of There is No If and a beautiful version of Trust.
Then
Plainsong started without the regular intro
and the sound of Roger's Keyboard instantly got my 26 year old sister
cry with uncontollable joy as well as many
of the other people around us. I even began choking up as Robert
wandered around the stage and the music enveloped
your senses. Trully amazing... And then Disintegration.
This
is my absolute favorite Cure song and I was
just blown away by this version of the song. I heard the song played
on The Swing Tour and The Galore Promo shows
in Detroit but they do not compare to the "ominous" version of
the song on The Dream Tour. There is
something about this song that cuts right into my senses, especially with
Robert singing his heart out and Simon's bass
churning out an almost "angry" mechanical sound. The only way I
could sum up this song live, is like a continuous
wall of sound that draws you in and does not let you out. And
tears
were not just shed by Robert by the end of
this song...
Second encore was played to perfection as Figurehead
and Pornography kept everyone at Pine Knob screaming
uncontrollably for more. Third encore
had the best versions of Boys Dont Cry, 10:15, and Killing and Arab that
I
have ever witnessed and then just when we
thought a 4th encore was about to happen, the house lights went on and
you heard a collective gasp from the crowd.
This Dream was done and the still sold out crowd began to file out with
each person looking as if they had just woken
up from a dream they didnt want to end.. It was that intense!
One
more note that i forgot to mention was that
there were quite a few times when fans would rush the stage and get
within a few feet of Robert and then tackled
by the security. This seemed to amuse the Robert and Roger as they
would let out a big smile and nod to the fan
getting whisked away by the security. The band was in a great mood
the entire night, smiling and enjoying the
moment, and so was I....
I wasn't sure how to get a review to you to
post so here we go! I've seen the the Cure on the Wish tour,Swing
tour, and Galore tour, all in detroit but this
was easily the best show of all. Our seats started out being four rows
from the back of the pavillion, but as the
show progressed by the start of the first encores we were four rows from
the front, now those were good seats! Excellent
set list! A few songs I was hoping to hear and did were Pictures of
You,If Only Tonight..., and Trust. I was dying
to hear The Kiss but they chose Snakepit instead. A few highlights
for me were first when,Roger didn't pick up
a guitar after fascination I knew Open was not coming and they started
into one of my favorites on the new record
Last Day of Summer, followed by an all time fav Pictures of You, One
Hundred Years sounded awesome, Bloodflowers
had so much emotion poured into it i thought Robert was going to
blow up! Then a purely gut wrenching first
encore started with There is no If(solid),Trust(amazing), then Plainsong
when Robert came over and touched the crowd
during the intro, he was fighting back tears, I think he let some out
when after his vocal part he stood by the
drum riser with his back to the audience until Disinigration started.
Robert put everything he had in to that song,
I've seen that song played on previous tours and this nights
Disinigration tore those up! Encore two started
out with Robert saying something to the effect that he could see
out into the crowd better tonight that at
most shows and saw the sign with"FigureHead" on it so they started into
playing it and it sounded great,I was also
thinking we are going to hear a Pornography encore!!! I thought maybe
Cold or Strange Day next but no, right into
Pornography! I love that song and live was even better! However, I
noticed a bit of confusion after;
First, Roger left the stage immidiately followed
by Simon, but while the recorded outro played Robert and Perry
and Jason remained. The outro kept playing
and Jason crept away, Robert was motioning to the side to cut the
recording so he could say something, meanwhile
Perry walked off, Robert tried to get his attention too but the
recording just played on and Robert couldn't
properly say goodnight so he went up to the mic and said "blah
blah blah" and walked offstage. Encore
three: You know what's coming when Robert says " since it is Saturday
night after all" they break in to Boys Don't
Cry and the crowd literaly goes nuts. This is the song where Robert
made definite eye contact with me, I was pointing
at him during the chorus and singing "Boys Don't Cry" and he
smiled and laughed! Then came 10:15 and finally
the best version of Killing.. I ever heard. The way the crowd was
I thought for sure we would get a fourth encore
of Faith or A Forest but I looked at my watch and thought
otherwise, an exact 2hrs and 45mins.
Let me just say something about the crowd. I thought the Pine Knob crowd
was awesome! I've read other reviews of other
shows complaining about how the crowds weren't into it or not cure
fans, they just came to hear the hits. Well
no one mass exited until after all three encores and there was no
Lovesong,Just Like Heaven,or Friday...
I saw diehard fans there with notebooks writing
down setlists, many stood during the whole show, and they were
LOUD! The venue was sold out, even the lawn,
now that says that Detroit and surrounding areas fans great! Two
other things that peaked my curiosity. Someone
in the front row in front of Roger gave The Cure a big gift bag! I
wonder what was in that, Roger wouldn't take
it, Perry had to come over and grab it before he left. Also there were
a couple of professional video camera going,
at first I thought it was for the closed circuit screens they have at Pine
Knob but those were not in use. So were we
getting taped for a live concert tape or payperview event or what??
Kudos to the woman running the sound board,
never sounded better.
The Detroit show was, in one word, awesome!
I was the one with the banner. Robert said he was glad someone
brought a banner and that he loved it then
he pointed right up to us, myself, George from Ann Arbor, Larry from
San Francisco (George's baby brother) and
Seth (George and Larry's 13 year old nephew. We took him to the
concert for his birthday isn't that sweet?).
After he mentioned the banner (that I made with my own two hands by
the way!), Simon looked right up at
us too! We screamed Simon!!!! and he just kept looking up with this big
happy
smile on his face and thats when I started
bawling *hehe*
Pornography played as I latched on to Larry
and I cried and cried "Robert saw us..he knows we're out here! And
we are making Simon smile! This is so amazing!"
We enjoyed the rest of the show.
My favorite songs of the night we're Pornography,
Snakepit, Plainsong, 100 Years, and Inbetween Days and last
but If Only Tonight We Could Sleep. Overall,
a great night! Thank you Robert, Roger, Simon, Teddy, and Jason!
After the show, we went down to the stage hoping
we could give the boys the banner, but the security people were
rude and arrogant. Two groupies bumped into
us and demanded to meet Robert. The memories of this night will
last a lifetime. I was also in Chicago with
George and Larry. I want to mention that Cure fans are great people.
Thanks everyone for the great times and hugs.
Oh yes Roger we're going to send you the banner~so check your
snailmail :)! One more thing, Roger~there
is beer stains on the banner...LoL!
Where should I begin? Should I start by saying
exactly how lucky I was to be sitting so close...? Or should I begin
by being overwhelmed when I walked in and
saw so many people there?
How about from the begining? I arrived at
the venue just shortly after 7. I was late because of traffic. Which in
this
town as long as I have lived here(15 years)
has yet to figure out a solution to this problem. As I walked from the
car
to the gates the t-shirt booth caught my eye.
I walked up and bought a long sleeved black Bloodflowers shirt,
a program and the necklace.(no dog tags) :(
I then continued into the venue. I had hidden my camera along my
waist line. The security asked me to lift
my shirt and saw both my cameras. They said that it was ok and smiled and
let me pass. I walked over the hill and when
I arrived at the crest of the lawn I saw the stage. It was amazing. Not
as elaborate as the swing tour. But beautiful
still. I noticed the pavilion hadnt yet quite filled up.
I than went down to my seat and was blown
away by how close I was. 5th Row center. Right in front of Robert. I sat
down and waited. The wait did not take very
long at all. Sure it was an hour but it all happened so fast. All of the
sudden Adagio comes on and the crowd stands
up. I looked behind me for the first and last time at the crowd. It was
packed. Did we sell out Pine Knob? I hope
so. I knew that we had 7 minutes before they came out. I started trying
to build up the crowd. Telling people to stand
up and screaming at the top of my lungs. I said "Come on people
stand up. What do you think this is a Berry
Manilow concert?" The crowd laughed and cheered along. Suddenly....
Adagio fades away as it so beautifully does.
And out walks Robert than Perry and Roger and Simon and Jason.
OUT OF THIS WORLD: As wonderful as the very
first time I heard it. Better than the Chicago promo show. I
started crying very hard in the middle of
this as I knew this will be the last time I hear this live.
WATCHING ME FALL: Absolutely powerful. Filled
with emotion and drive.
SHAKE DOG SHAKE: Ok. The only time anyone
screwed up. Jason started before anyone expected. Robert
literally threw on his guitar and and ran
to the mike to start this.
SNAKE PIT: What can I say. It was Snake Pit.
Robert playing the recorder was amazing. Done so well. I thought
the cd was being played.
IF ONLY TONIGHT WE COULD SLEEP: How do they
do it so well?
PRAYERS FOR RAIN: A very well done version.
And a very long Raaaaaaaaiiiiiiiin. Not the longest. But enough
to get a very well round of applause from
the crowd.
Encore 1: THERE IS NO IF: This song hit me
hard. I had to cry thinking of a past love. And I cried hard. Roger
noticed this and looked at me as if it would
be ok.
TRUST: Again I continued to cry. But This
song had so much emotion. I began to cry with joy near the end because
it was so well done.
PLAINSONG: Ah. A nice surprise. Very good
use of colour on this one. Not the typical Blue with sillohettes. Which
made me believe this wasnt Plainsong at first.
Encore 2: FIGUREHEAD: Robert came out and
talked about the girls holding up the figurehead sign. He played it
and it was loud and driven. Very nice.
PORNOGRAPHY: Holy !#@%. I couldnt believe.
I know it has been played already this tour but WOW!!!!
Amazing. During this I got Rogers attention.
I mouthed "thankyou so much" to him and he smiled and looked at
the keys.
Encore 3: BOYS DONT CRY,10:15,KILLING AN ARAB:
Not what I wanted but still so perfect.
After the show people were screaming banging
on seats hoping for just one more. Robert walked to the mike and
said "THANKYOU VERY MUCH TO BE HONORED....THANKYOU"
And he walked off taking one last
glance at the crowd from the shadows of the
curtains and they were gone. All I have to say is I hope I can make it
to more shows. And if you are still wondering
if you should go. GO!!! Go now. get up and get the ticket. You will be
sorry if you miss this.
well.....where can i start? this was
my first Cure show, i have liked the band since first hearing them in 87'
when
the cool video for "why can't i be you" hit
MTV, i haven't really started getting into them heavily until Wild Mood
Swings came out in 96' (i liked "The 13th",
and "Mint Car"). then my friend Derek turned me on to their live
shows and i was hooked! Then, i discovered
their back catalogue of great stuff, and it hit's me, man i should've
listened to these guys earlier, what great
songs, what great lyric writing!
anyways, to the show itself:
the setlist already is up, so i'll just comment,
it was a decent setlist. for people who went to the Chicago show
on
Friday, they might have been disappointed
with this one, (No faith songs, no SDWAyou) but they did play Pictures
of You which got the crowd jumping a little,
shake dog shake was brilliant, well played. the real treat for me
was
"The Snakepit" to be honest, i don't have
the "Kiss Me" album, and this was the first time i've ever heard this,
it
is a really good song, very ambient ending
with the flute by Robert playing along with Roger's loop at the end, in
fact I'm buying the Kiss Me Album tomorrow!
(laughs)
A funny moment came when they started In Between
Days, a guy just got up and yelled in happiness at the top of
his lungs, everybody just looked at laughed
while dancing, the best lighting effect of the night was for 100 years,
it
was awesome, if Robert S. holds true they
should film a concert video of this tour, it would probably go over well.
Encore 1 - "..no if" and "trust" were cool
to hear, then they waltzed right into "Plainsong" with no wind chime
intro, the full effect of the show and tour
didn't hit me until i seen Robert up front signing autographs and touching
the crowd during the intro, me and my friends
were sitting on the lawn overlooking down on the pavilion, i looked
to my left and saw a woman with her husband,
she was crying and dabbling her eyes with a tissue, as Robert sang
the first few lyrics, it touched me that this
may be indeed my first and only time i will ever see these guys play, so
i
looked on with a heavy heart and enjoyed the
rest of the song. Disintegration was indeed a little slower tempo
than
normal, i prefer that because Robert seems
to get behind very lyric emotionally with a little more venom, instead
of
trying to catch the tempo with his voice.
he gripped the mike with both hands a'la Trent Reznor and unleashed the
fury of probably the best "relationship" song
ever written bar none, i love it!
Encore 2 - Robert mumbled something about reading
the signs by the fans and that Simon seen one for The
Figurehead, and that's what they played, a
good version. Next, i hear the tape played, muffled voices, could
it
be? yes! pornography, my favourite early song,
this was fucking brilliant, i seen the big screen above the stage
and seen Robert singing it, "It's too late!"
he was really into the song, emotionally. you could see it in his
eyes.
then afterwards, they kind of scurried off
stage, Robert looking a little sidetracked, i think they were going to
play
the 3rd song off pornography and backed out
at the last minute, this timing made sense because...
Encore 3 - The pop encore "boys don't cry -
1015 - Killing an Arab" took them right up to 11:00, and i'm pretty
sure there's a Michigan curfew of 11pm for
bands who start before 9pm, and the cutting down of the 2nd encore
enabled them to do this....although as the
band tore through those songs, which were great by the way, as the band
was walking offstage, Robert lagged behind
and kept slowing down and looking at the crowd, he really was touched,
it almost was looking like he was going to
signal the band back out for a 4th encore and play "Faith" , but he
walked behind the curtain and then the house
lights came up.
A small comment about the crowd, they were
a great crowd, seemed to be into every song, most people were
there right until the end of the 3rd encore,
believe me, they wanted a 4th! (laughs) so did I!
My ticket stated that the concert was to start
at 7:30, when that passed, i figured 8:00, they didn't start until 8:15,
so maybe they were watching the Stanley Cup
hockey game NJ vs dallas, who knows? (laughs) all in all, for
travelling from Grand Rapids (a 3 hour drive
from West Michigan) and seeing these guys really made my summer,
thanks guys!
A couple of small disappointments, after Fascination
St. Roger did not pick up a guitar so i knew "Open" would not
be played, and they didn't play "End" either,
bummer! my 2 fav cure songs of all-time, oh well, very small
nitpicking to an otherwise brilliant show,
i can only hope that the band radically change their plans and do an indoo
How do you say incredible? I was at the Chicago
show, and was so totally blown away; that I thought nothing could
ever top it. But Detroit did. The setlist
in Chicago was more intense (all cats are grey, the drowning man, faith),
but
for Detroit I felt like the crowd was more
into it. My friend Liz had a banner, and at one point Robert said "I Love
That Banner"...we were so hyped up that we
forgot to go down to give it to the band. After the show we tried to give
it to the road manager, but the ushers and
crew at pine knob gave us a rough time. For both shows I was howling
my lungs out, and now I am hoarse! But it
was worth it. Words cannot do justice to all the different ways I feel
and
appreciate Robert and the boys pouring out
their souls for us. Thank You Robert, Simon, Jason, Perry, and Roger!
I will never forget.
the chicago and detroit shows were so rewarding,
and quite emotional. i was with my brother and friends lizzie and
pammie. the songs, the stars, and the night
were filled with magic. the three shows i've been to have been so
bittersweet. friends, family, and the cure~what
could be better? songs that hit me were:fteotdgs, the kiss, play for
today, pornography, a figurehead, and plainsong.
i'd just like to say jason is sooooo good on drums. thank you
jason. and roger on guitar~wonderful. my dream
is over, but the memories last. thank you robert, teddy, simon,
jason, and roger. your music brings people
together. oh~i so cried for trust in detroit...
