"The Paleo show was once again a great one, although I was a bit disapointed by the end of it. I think the setlist
was great for fans who saw (or will see?)  another show on this tour. Having attended the Vieilles Charrues show
the week before, I was pleased to hear a lot of different songs : OOTW, Want, Night like this, Prayers for rain
etc... At the beginning, Robert apparently had problems with one of his amps and he pretended to knock it in a
funny way. Plainsong was as usual a great moment with Robert walking along the edge of the stage, smiling and
exchanging words with people down the front. The highlights of the main set were in my opinion The kiss and 100
years. When they left the stage after Bloodflowers, I had the feeling that masterpieces like Deep green sea or
Figurehead were missing.

The first encore was very nice, with a perfect Pictures of you, extended-mix-like Lullaby and Fascination St...
Then came the second encore that ended with 3 singles and the feedback of the crowd was very enthusiastic. I
was sure they would come back for a last song ( A Forest ? Faith? ) but they did not. I could take a look at part of
the setlist and I noticed that the band had originally planned to play A Strange Day.  The end left me with the
feeling that in some way something was left undone, and it seemed like quite a few Cure fans around me felt the
same. "

"An attachment you will find the first part of the Paleo show setlist.  I saw and read the second part (I girl close to
me got it first!!) and they were planing to play "A Strange Day" as the first song for the second encore, but at the
end they didn't.

The show in Paleo was great.  The sound quality was very very good and the mixing was almost perfect:  Robert's
voice was very clear and the other instruments were not so loud, so you could separete every single sound just
by paying attention to the music.

The Paleo crowd was more Cure-oriented than the one at Frauenfeld.

The highlights (in my opinion) were:  baby screams, push, the kiss and the two covers (faith healer, dbaw) worked
out much better than in Frauenfeld.  The band played these covers with more confidence."

"The paleo show was amazing!

for their (and my...) second swiss-show, they changed the setlist compleately! i think 32 different songs were
played during the 2 swiss-shows... incredible!
i liked especially the kiss, the baby screams, fascination and a night like this. the audince was in a perfect mood
for a cure-concert! everybody seemed to know the songs...
a forest, faith, charlotte, from the edge, watching me fall, open, , lovesong, disintegration... all these songs were
not on the list, but i have the impression to have seen a great show... strange.
the only song that in my opinion should be cancelled from the setlist, is "39"...
i can't say more, i arrived back home this morning at 6 and i'm leaving for london tomorrow at 12... it can't get
better than this! "

"Yesterday was the greatest day of my life. It was my third festival 2002 and i really enjoyed the show in the very
first row. The whole group was in a particularly good mood, the voice of Robert so perfect. I didn¹t like the show
of the Vieilles Charrues because of the audience, but I really adored the Paleo Festival.  The setlist was quite
different to the previous shows, much more "Head On the Door" and "Disintegration" oriented, and to my
amazement they didn¹t play "A Forest" .

BUT the greatest event of my life happened later in the night. I was wandering about in the streets of Geneva with
friends looking for a cab. When all of a sudden, in a small street, we saw a bus with some Cure fans around. I
immediately knew I would meet the group. And I did. In fact, I met Robert, Simon, and Perry. I couldn¹t believe
what was happening : my heart throbbed violently, my legs were trembling, my face became red. I approached
first Robert, asked him with a shy voice  if he wanted to sign my ticket stub, then a friend took some  pictures of
Robert and me. Robert was extremely nice with the fans, he was speaking in french (at least some words in french),
and he kept asking me if his sentence was grammatically correct. Then I said hello to Simon, took some pics with
him and finally went to see Perry.  Simon was also extremely nice, very welcoming. These encounter with my idol
lasted for at least 15 minutes. Then they said goodbye to everyone and went to their hotel. It was my greatest
dream to meet The Cure, and yesterday that dream came true....."

"This July 25th  show was really good as the others from this festival tour

-Out of this world
-Want. very powerfull. I began to realise how still amasing is Robert voice and still very powerfull (I want the sky
to fall in, I want lightning and thunder....)
-Plainsong
-Prayers for rain. very beautiful version, much emotion in Robert's voice
-The baby screem / Push / a night like this The last time The Cure played in this festival was in 1985 For the head
on the door album....so souvenir, souvenir  3 very powerfull songs, Robert played the PUSH guitar intro just in
front of the stage, in front if the crazy audience
-The Kiss. Simon's bass intro was incredibly loud and powerfull and robert feels more confortable on the guitar
part than usually. a fabulous song
-Trust. this is the 'machmalo' song, traducing by long, trickling of honey, By the way much better than the album
version, almost the robert's guitar part for the intro
-End really loud, butifull voice
-100 years...........PFFFFFF  what an incredible sound and song.
-The classics 39 and bloodflowers in a great way

1ST encore
-Picture of u. this song was perfect, just made for live
-Lullaby with extended mix stuff
-Fascination

2D encore
-Faith healer
-Don't believe a word. These 2 songs were in a really rock way. The audience and the feel feel really happy to
hear and play it
-In between
-JLH
-Boy's

For the second encore the public really drives crazy. Everybody was singing the word, dancing, hands in the sky
Ths band was really to the cheering of.
In general, the audience was really good, really reactive to the old song, and the popies of course.
There was many flags floating on the crowd, english flag, robert's face, cure flag.
The ambiance was really good, thank u swiss audience

I was just a little bit disappointed regarding the setlist wich was not as good as others festival ( rome, Zillo,
vieilles charues). I was just missing few others song from pornography and faith album. But the band was feeling
really good, and the atmosphere was really powerfull.

TO BE CONTINUED....  ( lucky u , those who'll be in london this saturday)

PS : exclusivly for french people : Brigitte fontains's show was also incredible and.... just .... indescriptible.."

Review by Enrico Fermi

"I'm trying to be as reasonable and complimentary as I can about last night's short show, but I'm just too mad
right now.

After seeing all of the set lists over the last month and anticipating the Greatest Show on Earth, I was deeply
disappointed with my ninth Cure concert. There were only 2-3 defining moments throughout the concert, "The
Kiss", "The Baby Screams" and "100 Years". Everything else was pure, overplayed garbage. And I'm not just
talking about the singles, of which there were many. Why in God's name do they continue to play "39"? If there's
a more repetitive and uninspired Cure song (excluding "All I Want"), I've yet to hear it.

Overall, the show was a major downer. The crowd was nonexistant, even during the upbeat songs. Usually, the
Paleo crowd is a lot more lively. There was no connection between the audience and band. When they came on
stage, you could have heard someone in the front row scratch himself. It was embarassing since the previous group
Indochine, which models itself as a 'French Cure', had a warmer reception and had better vibes.

The sound quality was terrible, but the band never helped themselves playing strenuous songs like "End." Here
you have a band that made four incredible albums in a row (17 seconds, Faith, Pornography and The Top) and yet
they manage to play only ONE song? That's the same number they devoted to Wild Mood Swings. Ca fait chier
(makes me want to defecate), as they say.

The first encore was only three songs and they were all Disintegration singles. Been there, done that.

The second encore was longer but not that much better. They were begging for attention and didn't get more than
a half-hearted roar of approval. I'd say that the audience was largely responsible for subjecting us to throwaway
pop encores instead of the 3IB, Faith or Pornography-themed sets I saw in Paris 00 or listed on other concerts
during this tour. At the same time, when you play a bunch of monotonous songs in a first set that lasts only about
75 minutes, you're not going to impress anybody.

On the bright side, they didn't play "Cut Here". "The Kiss" was truly a masterpiece (perhaps over ten minutes
long?) and Simon's bass on "The Baby Screams" had a hypnotic echo. Robert is unquestionably possessed by
the spirit of Hendrix. I don't mind if they don't play "A Forest" again as long as this means that Robert can
destroy his guitar on "The Kiss". The t-shirt is not bad (the logo is uninspired) but now I've got a lifelong
reminder that my show was probably the worst one on the list."
