I had the most unbelievable experience at the Cure concert!  It was so unbelievable that I almost cant believe it
really happened!!  First, I want you to know just how hard the tickets were to come by.  It sold out in 7 seconds!!  I
called a scalper at 10:15 and bought a pair for $500.  30 minutes later he had gone up to $1000 a pair!  Then...  I
won tickets off the radio.  Then...  the girl I was going to take won tickets on the radio the day of the show AND 2
passes to the private soundcheck, exclusive to just 30 people!!  It was at this time that I spoke to Robert and got
him to sign my 12" promo from 1979 that only 1500 copies were made, he said "dont see too many of these around
anymore, 1979, that was a long time ago".  signed love robert, smiled and gave it back.  But...  just before that and
before robert came out, I was tapped by a dj at 99X and myself and 3 others were brought BACKSTAGE TO
MEET ROBERT!!  So there I was, there I was, there I was..  backstage at THE CURE.  I walked into a tiny room
and there he was.  I could not believe it.  Then...  I got to ask Robert a question, live on the radio.  He was soooooo
cool.  Looked right at me as I asked the question, smiled and nodded after I unbelievable delivered it flawlessly.  I
must say that I didnt understand a word he said.  I was in shock that Robert was answering my question and
speaking to me!!!!   The girl next to me could not think of a question so I made hers too.  I asked, Do you have any
future plans for any more internet only releases like Five Swing Live?  (I knew the answer, I just wanted him to
have the chance to plug what is to come).  I had my neighbor ask, Can we expect to hear any b-sides on the Dream
Tour?

Then...  I was front row!!  My 5 people that I came with snuck in 7 cameras!!  We have some really good photos.

Then...  I met Robert and the rest of the band out back after the show.  Got a ticket stub signed by everyone.  They
were all so cool!!!  I was not expecting them to be so nice.  Got my picture taken with Robert and Perry.
Each one of those guys are super cool!

The events leading up to this show was that of an emotional rollar coaster! We, (myself and two other great
friends!! who i couldn't have made it without) drove up to Atlanta the night before without tix. We were there
hoping for frequency.....or just a glimpse of the band and to listen to the show as it was being broadcasted. Anywho,
we wait and we wait, we 'befriend' a really nice security guard, we wait some more.....finally after a good 6
hours of waiting a bit more people start to show up. Which was ok seeing how most of the people waiting for the
band to show also didn't have tickets. Met alot of great people waiting.  (the rest of them were in the front in line)
Anywho, so we're all standing and my friend spot's the van......and we all know it's them, that black van secret
service type heh. All of them hop out and into the venue...except........ Rob. He was wearing the cutest suit!! (as
seen on Conan O'Brian teus. night) He was VERY VERY nice and seemed in a good mood. Although this being the
first time i had met any of them.....and i could barely get my name out for him to sign my BF ...just the feel around
us, all the 'figureheads' together with Rob. Flash Flash...Love the new Album...sign this...take my pic..Flash
Flash.....ya know how it goes. So no time for any sort of small talk, but the experince will stay in my heart for
always and ever! I didn't want to bother him with asking for a pic so i threw my camera to someone and just leaned
my head on Rob's shoulder and made a funny face...hehehe I don't think he even knew what i was doing....Anywho
(sorry i 'babble') so after this we are all obviously VERY happy.(the man with the face that smiles) and now WE
MUST get tickets, there is no if about it....ya know....Our hopes were getting torn down as we were hearing prices
going thru 250-1000$!!!! I started to get ill with the scalpers and harrassing them about being a cure fan etc etc So
me and my friend continue to walk about with our lil' pathetic signs on us that read 'We NEEEEEED CuRe
Tickets' and mine "CuRe Me With Tickets"...we should have won an award hehe, a few people took our pics
...hehe.. Finally we breakdown cough up the money (well they helped me out alot!! which i will love them forever
for!!!) and we were in! =o) So now we're standing there....and listening to the people around us, some who were
obvious radio winners (blah!!) but they amused us while we were waiting. They come out and the best night of my
life continues.  The setlist was much the same as all the rest....the crowd was very considerate for the most
part...and let's just say they kicked arse! listening to 39 and Watching Me Fall, i was on the edge of tears....but
couldn't stop smiling none the less. it wasn't until a very emotional Bloodflowers that i broke down....100 years, had
me in a state of bliss..as did Strange Day. Maybe Someday was played with that sense of ....'we're going
to play this again and again and again...'  that's how it goes. Fasination Street, was a highlight of the show, with Rob
and his hand gestures ...and Simon kickin on the bass....(i think i felt every string he hit during the show it was quite
wonderful) i couldn't really see jason, but you could hear him, was quite proud, he's grown into his 'cure shoes'
....and they fit well. Roger as always makes me smile with his facial expressions, always that nice big smile! =o)~
and Perry *swoons* was the one i could see the best where i was at, and as always he kicked booty! =D Really
great show all around, although i wish i could have met the rest of the band, i'm glad i even got to be there! so
maybe someday i'll meet em all! Patiently waiting the US Dream Tour Dates!!!!

I have been a Cure fan for roughly fifteen years, but have not been able to see them live until the Atlanta show at
The Roxy.  On Thursday, February 17, 99X said that they would do a huge announcement at 6:00 am Friday
morning.   I had a gut feeling that the announcement would be about the Cure.  The next morning at 6:00, I got into
my car and drove in the general direction of 99X  while they announced that they were selling 500 Cure tickets at
the Roxy to 99X Freeloaders only.  I am not a Freeloader, but I went to the Roxy anyway to see if someone could
help me get tickets.  There was one other guy outside who was not a Freeloader and we both started asking people
for extra tickets, etc.  After a few minutes, this one Freeloader let me borrow his Driver's License and 99X
Freeloader card to get a wristband to buy tickets.  I got my wristband and told the other non-Freeloader guy that he
could buy one of my two tickets...after all, a total stranger was kind to me, so I wanted to be kind to another total
stranger.  (I freeloaded off of the 99X Freeloaders, so I guess that I am a real freeloader.)

I got to the Roxy on the night of the show about an hour early and ended up meeting three friends of mine
(seperately) from high school that I had not seen in almost ten years.  I hung out with one of the friends about
twenty feet from center stage.  The crowd went wild as the band came on stage and played a superb version of "Out
Of This World", followed by "Watching Me Fall".  I had waited a long time to see The Cure and enjoyed taking
every second in.

This was one of the best concerts that I have ever attended, if not the best.  I cannot say much that the other
reviewers have not already said, but I will recall a few moments.  I remember watching The Cure play a surprisingly
intense version of "One Hundred Years" and I thought to myself that this was the way that The Cure is meant to be
seen in concert: In a small, 1,000 seat venue playing "One Hundred Years" with fog and white light in the
background.  I also loved the version of "A Forest", as it is one of my favorite Cure songs.  Bloodflowers is already
one of my favorite Cure albums and I thoroughly enjoyed the new songs, especially the fired-up verson of "39".

After the show, I got emails from my reunited high school friends and left the Roxy to go to my car.  Walking behind
the Roxy, I saw a crowd of people waiting for the band and decided to join them, although I was positive that
the band would simply appear for a split second before getting into their tour bus and leaving.  I talked with a couple
of people from Orlando and with a couple from Statesboro, GA and others while I waited on the band to appear.
After an hour + wait, Robert Smith and Co. appeared and went down the barricaded line of fans to sign autographs
and talk.  Jason Cooper was sick and stayed in the van, but the other members spent a long time outside with the
fans and appeared gracious at our attention.  Simon, Perry, and Roger were all incredibly friendly.  Roger even
doubled back after meeting with all the fans to return someone's pen.  When Robert Smith signed my autograph, I
shook his hand, told him that I had been waiting to see The Cure for fifteen years, joked briefly about his South
Park episode, and thanked him for a great show.  I didn't think much about it until I was driving home and it finally
hit me that I had just met Robert Smith.

I can't wait to see them on May 18 at Lakewood here in Atlanta.

Like most I tried in vain when the Atlanta tix went on sale. I decided it would be worth it to make the trip up even
without tickets though just to hopefully see the band and hear the show from outside if there was no getting tix! It
seems like there were plenty of tickets to be had if one was willing to pay the fucking scalpers their price however.
So after my sister and I had located some tickets for sale, had the tickets authenticated by the security on the door
at the Roxy, gave the dude his $500 for 2 tickets, we were all set to get into the show. The queue line to the front
door to the theater continued to grow, but that didn't seem as important as waiting patiently by the back door for a
look at the band when they arrived for soundcheck. When the band arrived I was pleasantly suprised when Robert
came over and begin signing for and chatting with the fans who were there. The fans who were there were very well
behaved and I thank all of them for keeping their cool and making the situation last longer than I had ever
expected. This was my first chance to meet Robert and he  was no  disappointment. He exudes warmth and grace.
The man is defintely a superior model! And that pinstriped suit! I never thought the first thing I would say to Robert
was "You look very handsome today".  As Robert was going inside I called his name and he came over and
accepted a box from me that was full of  Mardi Gras goodies including a King cake. He got a strange look on his
face when he peered into the open box. I didn't seal the box, cause I thought that security might want to take it from
him if they were not sure about it. Just had the stuff covered up with that confetti streamer. That may very well
have been one of the most poignant moments of my life. I finally got the chance to give something to Robert after
all the music that has so enriched my life. What a dismal musical soundscape the world would have been for us all if
Robert had chosen another occupation. I am happy for him that he is able to  enjoy the fruits of his success, fuck all
those who think he is a sellout!
About the show. Not much else that I can say that hasn't already been said. The setlist was amazing! They played
for the fans who know which songs the Cure are really about. I have never seen 1100 people enjoying a band's
performance more than I did that night. Incredible! The highlight of the show  for me was 100 Years. I have waited a
long time to finally get to see and hear them play it live. I watched the show from the very back of the theater
up in the balcony and you could just feel the balcony shaking with the  percussion. I thought to myself wouldn't this
just be a hell of a time for this old theater to come crashing down! But at least I'll die happy! And I'm going to start
finding out where people live who slag off Jason and go and kill them. Jason IS the Cure's drummer now. The lad
has come into his time with the band. His drumming could not have been better. I don't think that Boris could have
played any better that night!

After the last encore we joined the crowd behind the Roxy to wait for the band to come out. It was a considerable
wait and I was saddened that so many had to leave. But for those who stuck it out, it was euphoria! The band
came out and instead of waving and jumping into the van and heading out they actually began an impromptu signing!
Incredible! They were with us for at least 45 mins. I don't think anybody who wanted something signed was left
out! About the BF cover art, when it is signed by the whole band the cover  becomes the most perfect cure cover
ever! I had a black sharpie that I let all of them sign with. I wish I had gotten it back from Jason, but oh well! I
had to do a bit of  guerilla tactics to get Jason's signature as I realized that he was already on the van and I didn't
have his yet. But it turned out fine and security didn't kill me after all! Nor did it seem to upset Roger and Simon
very much when I slipped around the back of the van and asked them to get Jason to sign it for me. They are very
nice guys indeed! Thanks Roger for helping me out with that! Is this cute or what! When Perry was with the little
group I was standing with he put on my Mardi Gras hat! Perfect photo op and my camera wouldnt take the shot!
But I know there must be a few of this cause the flashes went off all around us when he put the hat on! I gotta
see a pic of this! I hope you get some sent to you! I'm desperate for that one!

As we were waiting for the band to come out I overheard some young lady say"They didn't play anything that I
wanted to hear". When Robert was talking to us I took perverse pleasure in telling him "Thank you for not playing
FIIL tonight Robert". It was too perfect, he replied "You're quite welcome". Not that I dont love FIIL as well, it
just wasn't a night for that song. I made damn sure I said it loud enough for that girl to hear as well. So if you read
this Robert, that was more for her than you! Cause you did look at me rather strangely when I said that to you. My
apolgies Robert! In no way was I insulting your perfect pop song! Well enough rambling from me, still on a  high
from the show! Can't wait for the Dream Tour to hit the USA and hope to get up with all my Cure friends! See you
there!

Review by Cure698

First off, the show was great!  My friend Stephanie and I drove 3 in a half hours from GA Southern Univ.  I think we
were the only people from there to go.  We did not have tickets, but went on blind faith.  A little before the concert
started, while we were trying to get tickets, Perry Bamonte came up to the window.  We all started yelling and
screaming.  I was signing for him to open the window.  I messed around with it for a second then opened it and stuck
his head out and waved at us.  in a matter of minutes one by one we were able to see the entire band. Robert came
last, walked by the window, stoped looked at us, the disappeared.   We were able to get some tickets for a decent
price.  We went in in the middle of Watching me fall.  We heard Maybe someday from outside.
I felt like I was dreaming during the concert.  The set list was great, there were some other songs I would have
rather heard, but it's the cure, it's all good.  My favorit was BloodFlowers.  I stood absolutly frozen during the entire
song, every few seconds I would get chills down my body.  All the songs seemed to penetrate through me.  The bass
and the drum beats made your body vibrate, it was unbelievable.
After the show we ran around back to get a spot to meet the band early.  There was only about 25 or so people
there at first.  We waited about a hour and half but finially got to meet the band.  I was standing face to face with
Robert.  He made sure that he signed something for everyone.  Everyone was really cool there. People in front
would move out of the way after they meet Robert, so people in the back could meet him.  My friend Stephanie
summited Untitled and Apart for the contest the cure was doing. When Robert came up to us, she told him that he
didn't play Untilted, she told him that that she summited it for the e-mail contest, I said that he remembered her
e-mail (rather he didn't or didn't I'm not sure)  He started talking to us saying "I expected 5 or 6 songs to be
summited, instead we got like 60.  That would be a six hour set list.  They want us to play the whole F***ing
catalog."  It was very cool.  Robert seemed like he was in a bad mood, but was still very sincere to his fans.
At the end, he told Stephanie that he would try to play Untitled for her at the May (atlanta) show.  The entire
night was like a dream.

My friend Chris and I got to the Roxy very early to get tickets.  I, with my green hair (lime-green if you like,
special for the occasion) and he with his "I need a pass to shake my ass" sign (I pretended to not know him)
walked 'round and 'round for over three hours, to no avail, until this guy apppears out of nowhere and offers us a
ticket FOR COST--I swear he was an angel!  Some real jerks had been offering there's (not real fans obviously)
for $300+...all the fans in search of tickets were collectively telling them to go to hell...or possibly considering a
mugging.

Then I had the best Cure experience of my entire life!  The band sounded terrific, and Simon's bass was just
thumping me in the chest the whole time. For me, the best moments were FTEOTDGS, A Forest, and
Disintegration...with the weakest being Inbetween Days, b/c it just didn't fit, and they actually played it badly with
Perry making some awful guitar noises.  Roger really got in to the DGS and was just banging on his
piano/keyboard, was great b/c he's usually so mellow.

Also, Jason has become a much better drummer over the past two years--although Robert stood in front of him
before several of the songs, counting out the cadence, "one, two, three, four," which I found funny. Perry played his
parts really well and solidly--especially the Bloodflowers stuff, although I don't think anyone will ever beat Porl's
live solo on FTEOTDGS!

The enthusiasm of the crowd was amazing!  Even though there were people there who were clearly not great fans,
we more than made up for them...as the concert progressed, everyone just got more and more pumped!  My friends
who listened online and on the radio said they could hear everyone screaming and that it sounded like a stadium
show!

Thanks to the Cure and everyone there for such an great experience, and especially to that sheepish little guy that
sold me the ticket--what were you possibly thinking??!!!

Just got to New York from the Atlanta show. I have a quick review for the Atlanta show and wanted to say that the
band had loosened up a bit. Robert talked more to the crowd. The band seemed a little more relaxed and the show
was excellent as was the Dallas show; but still no mixing it up, same basic set (with the exception of the omission of
JLH), no real fun with the music. I did get a chance to meet with the whole band at various points during the day
and everyone was ultra cool. The after show party wasn't too much of a party (held at The Roxy)but Jason and
Roger came out and mixed with everyone (about maybe 20 or so people) and I was able to get pictures and talk just
a bit with them. We were all very happy to be there and I'm looking forward to their show here in NY on Monday.
After the whole thoing is done I will be setting up a page with the whole detailed story. :)

Review by Charlie

it was a really solid show in atlanta and was indeed well worth my 12 hour round-trip car ride.  As we were trying to
find parking before the show we saw Robert behind the Roxy surrounded by just a handful of fans.  I yelled at my
friend to stop the car and we parked in the middle of the road and ran out!  I had my Bloodflowers promo copy that I
hoped to get signed, but he had to head inside before he could get to me (I was about 2 people away!).  I did manage
to get a really nice picture of him (although I would have rather had a picture with myself in it as well) and it was a
total rush to be so close to him.  We heard the rest of the band soundchecking "M" a bit later through the walls.

The actual show was really nice.  I'm still kicking myself for looking at the European setlists earlier this month, as
they were identical to the Atlanta show.  No surprises :(  I'm glad I avoided seeing the LA and Dallas lists though...
I would have had my hopes up for a Shiver and Shake or a Just Like Heaven.  Disitengration was the highlight of
the night for me with FTEOTDGS being a close second.  I could have done without 39 and Watching Me Fall.
These sound nice on the album, but the show really would have benefited by taking these out and throwing in a
few singles.  Inbetween Days was lots of fun.  Hopefully they'll come somewhere closer to NC on the Dream Tour
so I won't have to give up 2 days to see them!  It was worth it though.

After the show, they signed autographs outside. I've been a fan for 15 years, and this was my first chance in 8
concerts to talk to them. I didn't get to say much, but it was still great! They could not have been nicer. They were
honestly interested in saying hello, and were very accomodating and friendly. I've never been more proud to be a
fan. I think Jason was ill, though. He was only there a few minutes. The rest were there for a good 1/2 hour. The
security people were also very nice and agreeable (a rare thing).

this really isn't a review of the show, but rather a review of my whole hellish-wonderful-awful-beautiful day in
atlanta...first off, let me say... those of us who were there who didnt have tickets... i believe that we were
overcompensated for all of our hardships. see, all the people who had tickets already were lined up in the front of
the roxy all day so they could get a good spot. all the rest of us (tired, hungry, cranky, ready to die) were
waiting behind the roxy in hopes to catch a glimpse of robert. good lord did our waiting ever pay off...robert arrived
around 5:30 in a big black secret service-looking type van. when he got off, we were all calling for him.
security guards and other icky people were attempting to usher him inside. what did robert do? he stayed outside
and signed autographs and took pictures with each and every person standing out there, even though he was
already running late for his radio interview. i can safely say that robert is one of the sweetest, most considerate,
gentle human beings i have ever met. you can tell that he appreciates all of his fans, young, old, whatever.

and then, after all that, just as we had all pretty much all accepted that we werent going to get in, a parking lot
attendant from heaven came out of nowhere with 5 tickets. the show was amazing and february 23, 2000 is going
down is history for me and i'm sure everyone else that was there too...robert and the boys seemed in excellent
spirits. the audience was wonderful - singing along, laughing, crying....it felt like a big happy family in there!

ok, i'll bring this to an end now, but not before i say this.... if you dont have tickets to any of the other shows...
dont give up. if i got in, you can get in too!! just be committed to your mission and dont lose hope! good luck
to everyone!!

oh yeah, one more thing... the 99x people got booed by a lot of the crowd when they walked onstage :)

Review by Charlsie

it was absolutely unbelievable.  they played m and play for today during soundcheck.  i heard through the walls
from where i was standing in line.  never in my wildest dreams did i ever think i would see the cure in as small a
place as the roxy.  i was one of the few people that were actually able to get their tickets through ticketmaster, as
well so i felt kind of sorry for the kids paying $300 to get in.  no matter what, though, it was worth it.  highlight of the
show had to be 100 years. that was the loudest, heaviest, most intense song i have ever heard live, and i will never
forget it!

Review by Jacob

I was able to make it to the Atlanta show.  I had to reach deep into my pocket to get a ticket, but it was worth it.
This was my first Cure concert.  When I got to the Roxy and could see the stage it was if they were going to be
playing in my living room.  Everything was black!  I had a white shirt on though.  I got a few strange looks from
some of the fans but that was ok.  99x DJ's got on stage and were not welcomed at all by the fans.  They were
telling us that The Cure was going to be on in about 10 minutes.  It was the longest 10 minutes of my life.  First I
saw Roger walking across the stage to his keyboard and everyone started screaming.  Then Robert, Simon and
Perry came out on stage.  Robert was everything I expected.  Jason was hard to see in the back behind the drums.
They opened up with Out of this world, followed by Watching me fall.  The third song was Want off WMS.  For the
first 3 songs I was in a daze, but quickly came out of it when they played Fascination Street.  When they played FS
the crowd went crazy.  From there I can't remember the complete order of the songs, but it was the same as the
other shows I believe.  I really wanted them to play Just Like Heaven, but I could see the set list on the stage and
it wasn't on there.  I was only about 4 feet from Perry and maybe 20 feet from Robert and Simon.  I think that 100
years was their best song of the night.  I love dancing to that song, but I was on the front row and dancing was
impossible.  The 2 encores were simply amazing.  Disintegration was their last song and I was just trying to take as
much of them at that point as I could.  It's still hard to believe I actually got to see them.  I can't wait until they
come back to Atlanta this May 18th!

Review by SmplyDremy

So here it is,  I just got back from the Atlanta show.  It was amazing.  I didn't think I was going to even be able to
go.  I had tried all weekend long to win tickets on the radio, to no avail though.  However,  Monday things were
going my way and not only did I win concert tickets but I also got to go to the soundcheck(music from watching me
fall, maybe someday...songs: pictures of you, just like heaven,a forest, if only tonight we could sleep...and maybe
some more that I forgot).  99X and management were very  strict with rules...no cameras, no touching, and probably
no autographs.  So,  we decided not to risk it and we took our cameras back to the car.  Once we got inside Roger
and Jason were practicing and then Simon and Perry came out. Finally,  about 20 min later Robert came out.  They
played a few songs, and at one point I shouted Unstuck,  Roger said  "NO"  and looked at me and said "something
I know." with a smile...Robert just smiled.  A few more songs and then Robert said that's a wrap.  So before I was
kicked out,  I got enough courage to run over to where Robert was and I handed him a little bear and asked him to
sign some things.  It was amazing,  the whole band was so willing and happy to take a few minutes to meet the fans.
I just wished that I had brought my camera inside because Robert himself said I could have,  and he even told me I
could go get it from the car and come back.  But the security wouldn't comply.     Then about an hour later.....the
real show time.  It was amazing.  They opened up with the first two songs from the album.  The highlights for me was
when they played fascination street and the edge of the deep green sea.   Robert was even moving around a bit
during FS.  There weren't a lot of big radio hits played at this show, while I was walking out I heard one guy say I
spent good money to see crap like this. Most fans would die to be able to see and hear them perform the songs that
they played tonight.  Then 2 encores and ending with disintegration.  All and all it was a fabulous night,  and I made
my dream come true.....I met Robert smith....
