The Cure filmed the video for Gone in L.A. today. Here's what Derek had to report:

The Cure had been filming the "Gone" video all day--with a "Tea
Party" set in the parking lot,the band cooking inside the trailer, and the
live stuff including three grannies playing trumpets during the concert.
After the show they continued filming with Robert in an Orange V W
Bug in the underground loading dock tunnel. At one point when Robert was
driving up the tunnel toward the crowd(About 60 people) everyone took off in
a mad dash toward him. Before anyone could reach him security slammed huge
iron gates closed.Once filming wrapped everyone waited till about 2:15 when
the bus rolled out.About 8 cars pursued.

Tickets for the Albany,Nashville and New York shows go on sale today.

The Cure's website is reviewed in the Aug. 16th Entertainment Weekly. Here's what they had to say:

The Cure House(www.thecure.com)-You would expect a website dedicated to
Robert Smith's Goth-rock band to look like something decorated out of Cher's
Sanctuary catalog;instead,with it's citrus colors and polka-dot decor,it's
more like Esprit.Fashioned after the English manor where the band recorded
it's latest album,Wild Mood Swings, this unpretentious site offers audio and
video downloads,current tour information(including set lists),and a photo
gallery that chronicles the band's progression from mod hipsters to the
spiderlegged hair farmers they are today.Untypically, most of the content is
generated by members of the band, who take a Macintosh on tour with them,so
this house is truly their home.
