Reviews

Berlin was only my 2nd Cure concert after last years's slightly disappointing Oxegen Festival in my home country (mostly to do with the crowd). Everything about this gig was perfect, the venue was completely sold-out, Robert's voice was on top form and they more than made up for the lack of keys with some very intricate guitar playing, particularly during Lullaby. The highlight for me was simply watching Simon, whom i was directly in front of the whole night. The man is a bass god and one of my all-time heros. Another highpoint was seeing Grinding Halt live for the first time, now i was never a huge fan of anything off 3 Imaginary Boys but this version just blew us away, i now love this song with a passion! I really hope these new album rumours are true, its a dream of mine to see the Cure play Wembley. Until next time.
