This was the second Cure concert that I've seen (the first being at Tinley Park for the Dream Tour), and my girlfriends first.  It started out kind of predictable, the lead in music for Lost was pretty cool, still not as cool as Tape but good nonetheless.  I have to say that in general they sounded really good, and they had a really good performance.  They had a little love theme going it seemed for most of the main set, from From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea all the way through Before Three until Disintegration started then went into 100 Years and The Promise.  Even though I was hoping for a more darker set it seems that I couldn't have asked for a better set.  The new songs all sounded good live.  The crowd got into it, there was lots of energy and Robert seemed to feed off of it and really played with the lyrics and the singing.  Favorites for me was probably From the Edge of the deep Green Sea, Disintegration, and the whole encore.  My girlfriend really loved Lovecats and Just Like Heaven.  Also I have to say that although I generally am nota big fan of High, it sounds really good live and they did a bang up job.  At the end he said "thanks for making it a fucking
great day" or something to that effect, and it really was a fucking great day.
Everyone at the show seemed to have a good time and we sat next to a really nice family that came from St. Louis, the Mom was as dressed up
as the daughters it was really awesome to see!
Real quick on the best of the rest.  I just missed Mogwai and I was really disappointed because I really like them.  The Rapture are really awesome and I wished they had played last instead of Interpol.  It was my second time seeing The Rapture and they put on another good performance.  Got to love the cow bell, and he came out in the audience again which i really like a lot.  Interpol is just ok to me, I've never really been a real big fan but I'm sure the people that do like them really enjoyed their performance.
