Attorney General Lockyer Statement on Justice Stanley Mosk

(SACRAMENTO) – Attorney General Bill Lockyer issued today the following statement on the death of Associate Justice Stanley Mosk of the California Supreme Court:

"As Attorney General, Stanley Mosk created new sections with lawyers dedicated to antitrust and consumer protection, and used his office to put an end to discrimination in the Professional Golfers Association. On the California Supreme Court and throughout his lifetime of public service, he championed individual liberties and served as a great social conscience for all Californians. His reverence for public service, his sense of fair play and his keen judicial intellect will be missed."
