i am just wanting to say thank you to the whole of the ASH population, i am a
relative newbie to the ash world and i think it would have helped to find you
earlier, not in a positive life saving way, but in a way that i would not have
felt quite so alone. There are many people out there with similar problems to
me and i dare say many more that are suffering much more, i applaud any area
which allows people to discuss how they really feel.

The reason for this post well apart from the above thank you i just wanted to
say goodbye, i wont say my time here has been pleasurable but it has helped. I
have been trying to decide just want i want to do with the rest of my life,
whether to carry on battling with life in general or give up and run away and
die like a coward - conclusion - i am a coward.

My plan is to catch the bus before the coming weekend is out, i will be about
for the next few days just to clear up a few final things before i depart.

MESSAGE to any intervenors or people who are here to annoy or interrupt the aim
of ASH. FUCK U ALL, i hope that one day you will realise just how much harm
and damage you could be doing, instead of trying to "save" people you could
quite feasably be doing the opposite!!!!

Special message to DOUG, u really are a self opiniated tosser who has nothing
better to do than piss people off - see you in hell

again many thanks to you all for listening

Bye

PS can someone please tell me how to permantly remove all files from my
computer??

Alicia

Of course not, but your contribution necessarily implies that
(1) Mr Haser gave advice of questionable value, and
(2) pinochio knows better.

Given these assumptions, you can't avoid some criticism of sorts, no
matter how polite you'd try to be. There's not much you can do to
prevent Mr Haser from feeling miffed if he chooses to feel miffed when
criticized.

>There *are* no tools to recover information on a drive given the

I believe every propellerhead would agree that it was a good approach.
For a machine with exactly one IDE hard drive. SCSI users are shit out
of luck with your approach, if I'm not mistaken. [I believe the first
SCSI drive would be called /dev/sda instead of /dev/hda.] As are users
with more than one IDE drive, because you take care only of the first
one.

Tell you what, you could become a hero: Create an .ISO image of a
bootable CD that probes the hardware, and overwrites any recognizable
hard disk on boot. Put that image on your web site, so that people can
burn their computer suicide CD. What do you think?
