If you have not already read the README.TXT file that announces this release,
please do so first.

This document will describe some of the changes and features that you will
find when using this new version of Furthurnet.  We hope you will consider
them useful and provide us any feedback you may have on anything that is
broken, suggestions you may have, or flat-out praise  ;-)

Major issues addressed since version 1.7.0:

1. Fixed a large number of memory and resource leaks in various places.  The
   biggest was a problem that was causing TCP sockets and 45K buffers to never 
   be freed.

2. Fixed bug that would eventually cause Furthur to use all available CPU
   time, causing sluggish PC response and/or locking up the machine.

3. Reduced network bandwidth by not retrieving a list of hosts available for
   partials at every retry.

4. Added a count of filesets found on the search results screen.

5. Improved connectivity with remote hosts.  Furthur no longer attempts to
   connect to invalid hosts and tries harder to remain connected to hosts it
   has been connected to for a while.

6. Improved the speed calculator and upstream bandwidth throttling.

7. Fixed bug that caused clicking on the "Percent Done" column in the
   "Download Progress" window to sort incorrectly.

8. Fixed free disk space display for OS X.

9. Improved search.
